JAYAPURA – The Papua Provincial Government appreciates the Financial Supervisory Agency of the Republic of Indonesia for supervision guidance, to create clean and good governance in Bumi Cenderawasih. Acting Governor of Papua Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun said that the supervision guidance carried out by the Financial Supervisory Agency of the Republic of Indonesia Representative of Papua Province since 2022 and 2023, including in the examination of poverty alleviation performance, examination of labor performance, examination of overall asset governance, and examination of the performance of asset governance that will be submitted to the New Autonomous Region.
The supervision guidance is considered very helpful for the Papua Provincial Government in making strategic improvements, “more specifically in the financial management of the Papua Provincial Government in 2023,” Ridwan said at the Plenary Meeting of the submission of the Audit Report (LHP) of the Financial Supervisory Agency of the Republic of Indonesia on the report on regional financial management of Papua Province for fiscal year 2023, Monday (10/6/2024).
According to Ridwan, the results of the performance of Papua Province’s financial governance in 2023 have been assessed by the BPK RI Audit Team based on two examinations, namely a preliminary examination on February 20, 2024 to April 25, 2024 and while a detailed examination from April 23, 2024 to May 17, 2024 and where the results of the Audit of the Financial Supervisory Agency of the Republic of Indonesia can guarantee confidence for all stakeholders in the 2023 Papua Province Regional Government Financial Report, “For this reason, I appreciate all regional apparatus and staff for their hard work and good cooperation, in implementing development programs and presenting the financial statements of the Papua Provincial Government and I also appreciate the hard work of all parties involved in implementing good financial governance in their respective agencies, so that the LKPD of Papua Province in 2023 can be prepared in accordance with applicable regulations,” Ridwan said.
The results of the work in 2023 of the Papua Provincial Government can be reflected in the 2023 Papua Province Regional Government Financial Report and where the Regional Government Financial Report is not just a number, but also reflects the performance of the Government in serving the community and developing the region, especially the Land of Papua, “even though the smaller Regional Budget (APBD) of Papua Province is only Rp. 3 trillion, it does not reduce our enthusiasm to work and innovate to develop our beloved Papua, “
