TIMIKA – The South Papua Provincial Government has now prepared the construction of the central government area in Merauke Regency.
The contract value disbursed for this development reached Rp109.6 billion which was carried out by PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk.
The contract value will fund the construction of the Land Development of the South Papua New Autonomous Government Center.
“The project will be completed in 240 calendar days, with a maintenance period of 180 days,” said Ari Asmoko, Director of Operations I of Waskita Karya in an official statement, Monday, December 30, 2024.
It is said that the scope of work includes preparation, preparation of the completeness of the Construction Safety Management System (SMKK), earthworks, and work on the Clean Water Network Multi Utility Tunnel (MUT).
Preparatory work includes site management, work barracks, warehouses, electricity and water supply.
As for the implementation work plan, it consists of understanding documents, construction safety management systems, and coordination channels.
Including licensing and implementation strategies, critical trajectories of work, and project management systems.
In working on this project, Waskita ensures the application of the basic principles of the construction process.
These principles include appropriate SMKK, time, administrative costs, as well as benefits.
As a construction SOE that has experience working on various infrastructure projects, Waskita is committed to continuing to innovate in working on projects.
One of them is implementing the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) concept in the Land Development of the South Papua New Autonomous Government Center.
The advantages of WBS include making work more systematic and efficient as a mitigation to overcome delays.
It was explained that the development project will be carried out through a Cooperation Operation (KSO) scheme by Waskita-Pusaka.
For information, Waskita Karya previously also received a contract to work on the South Papua Governor’s Office Building worth Rp215 billion.
