PAPUA – The Government of Jayapura Regency, Papua issued a circular to the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) regarding holidays and joint leave for Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025. In accordance with circular number 300/2461/SE/SET, it is explained that government employees within the Jayapura Regency Government will return to work on December 30 to 31, 2024.
Jayapura Regency Regional Secretary Hana Hikoyabi said ASN must focus at the beginning of 2025 on providing services to the community, increasing discipline and enthusiasm in working to serve the community in all Regional Apparatus (PD).
“In the letter it is clear when the start date of work and when the vacation time is, so no one should deliberately add holidays or those who go home / travel are also expected to follow existing rules,” Hana said recently in Sentani, Sentani District.
ASN in the Jayapura Regency Government is tasked with serving the community and completing unfinished tasks. The circular letter on holidays and collective leave aims to ensure that public services continue to run well and are not interrupted by vacations.
ASN holiday time during Christmas and New Year (Nataru) is long enough so in order to maintain optimal public services, Secretary Hana appealed not to add holidays during the end of the year.
“Do not add holidays, enter according to the circular to serve the citizens,” he said.
Hana advised medical officers at all health service facilities to remain on standby to serve patients who need help.
