From the total target of Rp 1.3 billion given, the Papua Sports and Youth Office has recorded PAD of more than Rp 2 billion. This was conveyed by the Acting Head of the Papua Sports and Youth Office, Sonya Monim to reporters in Jayapura, Monday, October 28, 2024.
She said, the Sports Service is playing a significant role in finding ways to increase Regional Original Revenue (PAD) through the former PON venue which was built to international standards can be commercialized, but all activities must comply with applicable regulations.
“Anyone who wants to hold an event, please submit a letter to Disorda, the use of the venue is in accordance with the Regional Regulation on regional taxes and levies,” She said.
She also emphasized the importance of good communication for people who want to rent the former PON Papua venue. “Our regional regulation does regulate the amount of rental fees, but we can adjust it to the event that will be made by the community,” She explained.
She explained that although everyone has the right to use the facility, they still have to follow the applicable rules and jointly maintain the facilities at the venue.
“The tenant is also required to ensure security at the sports venue, is well maintained and is fully responsible for maintaining all venue facilities, so that they are not damaged either intentionally or unintentionally,” She said.
She added, PSBS Biak also plans to use the Lukas Enembe stadium for their home base in the League 1 Indonesia. However, it still continues to build communication with PSBS Biak management.
Said, the rental price of the Lukas Enembe stadium for sports matches is IDR 75 million. “For PSBS Biak we have built communication, we hope they can have a home base at the Lukas Enembe stadium,” She explained.
She continued, the guesthouse owned by the Papua Provincial Government located on Jalan Mandala Dok V, North Jayapura District, Jayapura City will also be coordinated with KONI for future management, so that it can bring in Papua PAD.
