PAPUA – PSS Sleman announced the release of Papuan striker Ricky Ricardo Cawor in the mid-season player transfer market of the Indonesian League 1 2024/2025. PSS Sleman thanked Ricky Cawor for his contribution and hard work with the Javanese Super Eagles.

Ricky Cawor became the first player announced to be released by PSS Sleman in the period of the mid-season player transfer market of the Indonesian League 1 2024/2025.
It is known that Ricky Cawor was brought in by PSS Sleman in the middle of the League season 1 Indonesia 2022/23 after previously defending Persija Jakarta for half a season.
The player who is now aged 26 that year recorded his name sticking out among the Indonesian soccer public after performing brilliantly with the PON Papua soccer team in the 2021 edition.
With the Papua Province team, Ricky Cawor was recorded as being able to carve 11 goals as well as being the top scorer, as well as securing the gold medal for the XX PON soccer branch 2021.
Ricky Cawor’s brilliant performance at PON made the Merauke-born player recruited by Indonesian League 1 team Persipura Jayapura in the 2021/2022 half-season. After performing quite well with Persipura Jayapura for half a season, he was recruited by Persija Jakarta ahead of the rolling of the League competition 1 Indonesia season 2022/2023.
For almost two years defending PSS Sleman, Ricky Cawor has recorded 50 appearances in the Liga 1 Indonesia event and contributed 10 goals and one assist from a total of 2,256 minutes of play.
