JAYAWIJAYA, PAPUA PEGUNUNGAN – Acting Governor of Papua Mountains Velix Vernando Wanggai handed over the Budget Implementation Document for Fiscal Year 2024 to the Heads of Regional Apparatus Organizations within the Papua Mountains Provincial Government. Budget Implementation Documents were submitted to 21 Regional Apparatus Organizations within the Papua Mountains Provincial Government at the Aithosa GKI Betlehem Wamena building in Jayawijaya Regency.
The Papua Mountains Province APBD for Fiscal Year 2024 is stipulated through Governor Regulation Number 3 of 2024, as well as Governor Regulation Number 4 of 2024 concerning the Elaboration of the Regional Budget for Fiscal Year 2024 and the amount of the Papua Mountains Province APBD for Fiscal Year 2024 is Rp 2.23 trillion consisting of Revenue Components of Rp 2.21 trillion, Expenditures of Rp 2.23 trillion, and Financing of Rp 12.81 billion.
In his direction, Governor Velix Wanggai said that as the new capital city, Jayawijaya Regency is the center of the economy and trade or regional hub for distribution and logistics and where this is a ladder to other districts, so that each Regional Apparatus Organization also needs to see the potential and symbols in each district, namely as in Jayawijaya as the Provincial Capital, and if Jayawijaya is organized, of course it will continue to other districts.
The Provincial Government has conducted a quarterly evaluation on February 28, 2024, where there are 12 roadmaps that were evaluated which became 10 priority programs, so Velix hopes that the Heads of Regional Apparatus Organizations can continue to pay attention to the 10 priority programs in accordance with financing conditions and so on and for that it is also necessary to improve work patterns, and work as a team to jointly provide services to the community and each Regional Apparatus Organization also regulates the framework until December, which are routine or activities that must go through the process of procuring goods and services.
Therefore, both Heads of Departments, Agencies and Bureaus need teamwork, both from the Head of the Regional Apparatus Organization to the staff, all of whom need to know the direction of the program and budget synergy in one team, “do the framework, coordination and internal consolidation to accelerate the goods and services procurement process program, so that it is completed on time and not late and does not stop halfway,” said Velix.
In addition, Velix also reminded that every program and budget that is carried out pays attention to the applicable signs and regulations, implements the program with a full sense of responsibility, is serious, upholds the principles of prudence, professionalism, transparency and accountability in accordance with statutory regulations, “in these 5 months if there is still something that is not optimal and effective, let’s fix it together, remind each other for each OPD and learn from each other to be better in managing the existing budget,” Velix concluded.
