JAYAPURA – The Papua Province Bureau of Goods and Services Procurement (BPBJ) encourages the provision of special facilities for local work units, in order to protect OAP business actors.

“That way we can verify and favor OAP business actors in the mandate of the Special Autonomy Law,” explained the Head of BPBJ Papua Province, Debora Salosa, in Jayapura.

However, she asked all indigenous Papuan business actors, especially in the field of construction, services and procurement of goods to improve Business Entity Qualifications to meet the required standards.

“So that way it can also be included in the work of work in the local catalog. Especially work with funds sourced from Otsus funds which should be directed to OAP business actors.”

“So it is very important to pay attention to the qualifications of the company, starting from labor, materials and tools and presenting prices that can have competence with other business actors,” said Debora.

Debora added, currently shopping is more directed towards shopping on catalogs.  Where it can consist of national catalogs, sectoral catalogs and local catalogs.

“For local catalogs, the Papua Provincial Government must prioritize OAP business actors according to Presidential Regulation number 17 of 2019 and according to Governor Regulation number 46 of 2021 concerning the procurement of goods and services in Papua Province,” she concluded.
