PAPUA PEGUNUNGAN – Vice President Ma’ruf Amin and Wury Ma’ruf Amin greeted several male and female futsal players of Papua Mountains Province who will compete in the XXI Aceh-North Sumatra National Sports Week (PON) in September 2024.

Not only teenage players, among them there were also some little futsal players and to one of these little players the Vice President asked who his idol was in football. “Do you like playing soccer? Who is your favorite football player that you admire?” said the Vice President. “Ronaldo,” the child replied.

After the light dialog, the Vice President and Wury Ma’ruf Amin each then handed over a ball as a form of support and encouragement to one of the representatives of the adult and child players.

To the Vice President, Acting Governor of Papua Mountains Velix Wanggai introduced one of the female futsal players named Ance Wenda who succeeded in delivering the Papua Mountains Women’s Futsal Team to PON XXI, “Wenda’s sister was one of the yesterday who strengthened our futsal team for Papua Mountains to go to PON and Alhamdulillaah we passed PON for futsal,” Velix said.

Not only that, Velix also said that the children’s futsal players who attended this event were the children of employees who lived in the central government area of Papua Mountains, “these are all our children in the core center of government. Children who live in Walesi and Wouma,” said Velix.
