PAPUA PEGUNUNGAN – Skateboarding exhibition sports athlete from Papua Mountains Province, Jagaditya Amani Nurima, performed stunningly in the park category skateboarding competition which took place on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 and the extraordinary performance of Jagaditya Amani who showed his skills in the skateboard arena made the atmosphere at the venue, which is located in Pidie Regency, Aceh Province, very festive.
Jagaditya Amani caught the attention of many spectators and not only because of his amazing skills on the skateboard, but also because of his young age, despite being one of the youngest participants in this competition, his performance managed to steal the hearts of the entire audience present at the venue and his courage in showing unique skills and styles became the highlight and gave a special color to the competition.
Adding to the excitement, Jagaditya Amani’s performance was witnessed by the Acting Governor of Papua Mountains Province, Velix Wanggai, who was present with his wife, Herwin M Wanggai, Chairperson of the TP-PKK of Papua Mountains Province. Their presence provided great moral support for Jagaditya Amani, and symbolized the full support of the Regional Government for the advancement of sports in the Papua Mountains.
 This skateboard exhibition match was attended by 12 Provinces from all over Indonesia, including the Papua Mountains Province which represented six provinces in the Papua region, the involvement of Papua Mountains in this competition added to the excitement of the match and became proof that young talents from this Province were able to compete in the National arena and besides that, interestingly, the 2024 Aceh – North Sumatra XXI National Sports Week will be the first time skateboarding is competed as an exhibition sport, because this signifies a new development in the world of sports in Indonesia and where skateboarding as one of the extreme sports and is now starting to get a place in the biggest National sports competition in the country.
The presence of talented young athletes like Jagaditya Amani Nurima in the XXI National Sports Week arena gives great hope for the future of extreme sports in Indonesia and especially in the Papua Mountains. Jagaditya Amani’s stunning performance in this match also proves that age is not a barrier to achievement, as long as there is dedication and strong enthusiasm.
With full support from the Regional Government, as well as appreciation from the community and the audience present, it is hoped that the achievements of young athletes like Jagaditya will continue to grow and the participation of Papua Mountains in exhibition sports such as skateboarding is also an important step to introduce the potential of the region in the world of National and International sports.
