Papua, Sorong: 12 Men’s Teams and 6 Women’s Teams enlivened the prestigious event of the President Saf’Com Trophy II Basketball tournament in 2024, which was centered at the Pancasila sports hall (GOR) Pancasila new road sorong city southwest papua.
President of Saf’Com Auguste CR Sagrim (Gusti Sagrim) when giving a speech before opening the event, welcomed the teams who came from outside southwest papua, “welcome to the city of sorong for teams who are present for the first time in the city of sorong or the first time participating in this competition.” he said.
In addition to being a gathering place for basketball ball athletes throughout Papua, Gusti also hopes that this tournament will be a place to prove the training of each basketball ball club so far, considering that this event is quite prestigious because not only clubs from the city of Sorong take part, but also teams from outside.
After giving a speech, President Safcom was accompanied by representatives of invited guests and also representatives of managers and coaches from outside Southwest Papua, together opening the activity by jumping a basketball into the basket.
