Chairman of the Papua General Election Commission Steve Dumbon admitted that the determination of the acquisition of seats and the names of candidates elected to the Papua House of Representatives was delayed, due to a lawsuit at the Constitutional Court, “Today, we have determined after a long wait, from 7 electoral districts, 18 political parties that won seats only 11 political parties, while 7 political parties have not been lucky, we have a quota of 45 seats for the Papua House of Representatives,” said Steve Dumbon.

After the determination of the seat acquisition and the name of the elected candidate for the Papua House of Representatives for the period 2024 – 2029, his party will complete the administration, then it will be submitted to the Papua House of Representatives to be submitted to the Governor of Papua to issue a Decree for inauguration in October 2024.
