Nabire, Papuadaily – Johannes Rettob and Emanuel Kemong took part in the dress rehearsal for the inauguration as the regent and deputy regent of Mimika at the Ballroom of the Central Papua Province Governor’s Office, Monday (24/3/2025).
John-Emanuel will be inaugurated together with the Puncak Regent and Deputy Regent Elvis Tabuni – Naftali Akawal by the Governor of Central Papua Meki Fritz Nawipa on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.
In the rehearsal, Regent John Rettob was accompanied by his wife Mrs. Suzy Rettob and Deputy Regent Emanuel Kemong was accompanied by his wife Mrs. Periana Kemong.
Regent John said that the inauguration took place in Nabire in accordance with the Governor’s Decree which was a follow-up to the letter from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
“The inauguration was carried out in each region in accordance with statutory regulations,” said John.
“Indeed, it cannot be separated and coincidentally in Central Papua there are only two districts, namely Mimika and Puncak, so it is implemented in one place,” he continued.
John said, the inauguration was carried out simultaneously because Mimika and Puncak have one SK. “We have one SK from 12 districts/cities inaugurated in the capital of each province so we were inaugurated in Central Papua Province,” he explained.
After the inauguration, John-Emanuel immediately returned to meet his community in Mimika. He was grateful that nothing is impossible because God’s plan is beautiful in its time.
“If all the suits are ready (for the inauguration). On Wednesday (26/3/2025) we will immediately return to Timika to meet the community,” he concluded.
