PAPUA “Regions With Naturally Football Talent”

Boaz Theofilius Erwin Solossa, better known as Boaz Solossa, is a professional footballer. He was born in Sorong, Papua, on March 16, 1986. Boaz’s greatness cannot be doubted. Achieving various championship titles with Persipura Jayapura and then scoring many goals both at club and Indonesian National Team level is proof of how great he is. The extraordinary Boaz even succeeded in getting football talent scouts to look for other hidden talents in Papua that could be raised.

It’s not surprising when we know Papua as Regions With Naturally Football Talent. There are more and more successors to Boaz Solossa and all of them have pursued careers with their respective clubs to the point of being able to reach the national team level, although no one has been able to match Boaz’s greatness. Then, continuing in 2011 there were Titus Bonai and Patrich Wanggai who succeeded in bringing the Indonesian National Team to win a silver medal at the 2011 SEA Games. Otherwise, the older version  Elie Aiboy is also a great footballer from papua. Terens Puhiri was covered by international media because of his speed.

For 2024, one of the important names from Papua who is playing for the Indonesian National Team Midfielder Ricky Kambuaya. Ricky’s received attention from football fans because of his intelligence, playing vision and also decision making as a midfielder.

The names above further explain how Papua is able to produce reliable football players who can defend various clubs and of course fight for the Indonesian National Team. Persipura Jayapura is currently in the second tier of the Indonesian League, but for the next season, we will see a representative Team from Papua that will be promoted this season to the highest caste of the Indonesian League , They Call as PSBS Biak. The team, which is identical to the majority of players from Papua. There’s no need to doubt Papua as a region with natural football talent in Indonesia.
