PAPUA – Tomohon EXPO 2024 as part of the Tomohon International Flower Festival (TIFF) 2024 series of activities, at GOR Babe Palar, Tomohon City, North Sulawesi, took place lively.

This international-scale event is not only an event for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from North Sulawesi, but also welcomes the participation of MSMEs from Papua.

At one of the exhibition stands, visitors can enjoy a variety of Papuan cultures presented by Sanggar Merah Putih Nawaripi from Central Papua Province.

They displayed a variety of specialty items, such as crowns (Yamoko), clothes made of bark, necklace trinkets, baskets made of sticks, tauri (tasseled skirts), and various other handicrafts.

The craftsmen come from the Kamoro tribe, one of the tribes that inhabit the southern or southwestern region of Tanah Papua. Nova Rompas, Head of the Cooperative and MSME Agency of Tomohon City, expressed her appreciation for the presence of Sanggar Merah Putih Nawaripi at the event.

“We from the Tomohon city government give appreciation to Sanggar Merah Putih Nawaripi of Central Papua Province for coming to Tomohon City to succeed TIFF and participate in the exhibition,” he said.
