Chairperson of the Committee as well as Secretary of the Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports Office, Santi Sondang, revealed that through the festival, the community is the main actor in developing culture in their area, including in Mimika Regency.

“So for the next one week this festival will be held at this location and we hope that the participation of the Timika community will be present to witness it,” said Santi Sondang. He said the festival was held to highlight the value of local cultural wealth and cultural progress to preserve so that people can love and be proud of their local culture and products.
