PAPUA – The pair of candidates for Governor and Deputy Governor of Papua Mountains Befa Yigibalom and Natan Pahabol, who have been supported by a number of parties such as Nasdem, PKS, PSI, PKN and Perindo, will certainly get additional strength because they will be supported by Gerindra.
This is almost certain because Natan Pahabol himself is a Gerindra cadre who has served as a member of the Papua DPR for three terms and also as Chairman of the DPD Gerindra Papua Mountains Province, so as a birthright to advance as a candidate for Deputy Governor of Papua, it is appropriate for Gerindra to give a recommendation to Natan Pahabol.
The issue of Gerindra’s recommendation falling to another couple, Natan Pahabol emphasized that it was an issue that was completely untrue and aimed at disrupting the candidacy of Befa Yigibalom and Natan Pahabol.
He said he needed to clarify all issues or propaganda circulating on various social media on behalf of the Gerindra Party, by discrediting him as Chairman of the Gerindra DPD who is also a candidate for Deputy Governor of Papua Mountains Province.
“The various issues are not true. Therefore, people should not believe the cheap issues spread by certain irresponsible people, who want to seize the birthright of Gerindra members,” said Natan Pahabol.
“Therefore, whatever the reason, as a genuine cadre, I am ready to advance as a vice governor candidate in the Papua Mountains Province. Moreover, as Chairman of the Gerindra DPD, as well as secretary of the Regional Coalition Team for the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (TKD-KIM) which has won Mr. Prabowo as President in Papua Mountains with all the people, this is clearly my birthright,” he explained.
In the world of politics in Papua, especially Papua Mountains, Natan Pahabol has proven his ability. He has sat for three periods in the Papua House of Representatives (before Papua was divided), with the electoral districts of Yahukimo, Yalimo and Bintang Mountains which are now included in the Papua Mountains region.
As a native son of Papua Mountains, Natan Pahabol, who before sitting in the MRP and the Papua DPR had been a volunteer teacher for eight years in Yahukimo Regency, decided to run as a candidate for Deputy Governor after considering various things.
“After considering various aspects, I decided to run as a candidate for Deputy Governor in a pair with the candidate for Governor of Papua Mountains, Befa Yigibalom. Because I see Mr. Befa Yigibalom is the best native son of Papua Mountains who has proven his performance achievements for ten years leading in Lani Jaya Regency,” he said.
Natan asked the public to remain calm and focused, not easily provoked by cheap propaganda issues built by individuals on behalf of the Gerindra DPP management.
