South Papua Provincial Government to Build Swimming Pool for the Community

Merauke – Head of the South Papua Province Youth, Sports and Creative Economy Office Soleman Jambormias, M.Pd said he would build a swimming pool in Merauke Regency.

The swimming pool will be intended not only as a place to learn swimming for the community but also as a new recreation area.

“We have programmed it. We have calculated all the necessary budgets. Because it is also a place to learn to swim for children in South Papua,” Soleman Jambormias explained to reporters at Mopah Airport recently.

He emphasized that the ticket fee would be cheaper than most swimming pools in Merauke. “The concept will be used as a recreational place such as culinary will be made complete, the price of entry to the pool arena is affordable, maybe Rp. 10,000. That way there will be local revenue (PAD) even though the price is the cheapest,” he said.

There are two points that have been programmed to realize the swimming pool. Such as Lantamal IX Merauke and the Buti church arena.

“Later an MoU will be made with the Navy, in Buti the MoU church area with the church,” he continued. It is said, this year the available budget is only for land demolition to build the swimming pool.

“Next year it will be programmed for one-time construction as a whole. Because the permit from the Navy Chief of Staff has been issued, we just have to propose again, because last year’s budget has been withdrawn,” concluded Soleman Jambormias.
