Halal Product Guarantee Service Task Force Socializes Mandatory Halal October 2024 in Central Visit of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises of Wosi AMD

MANOKWARI, WEST PAPUA – Located in the central center of Wosi AMD Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and along the main road of Wosi Manokwari, a combination of the Halal Product Guarantee Agency of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, the Halal Task Force of the Ministry of Religion of West Papua, the West Papua Provincial Office of Cooperatives and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, the Halal Product Process Assistance Agency, Radio Republik Indonesia and the West Papua Halal Product supervisor conducted a 3-day Campaign and Socialization of Mandatory Halal October 2024 for Micro, Small and Medium enterprises throughout Indonesia. This visit is an effort to ensure a broader understanding of the importance of halal certification for products circulating in the community.

During his visit, the Head of the Islamic Community Guidance Section of the Manokwari Regency Ministry of Religion Office, Saleem mandar, who also doubles as the West Papua Halal Product Supervisor, also visited a number of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises operating in Wosi AMD and interacted directly with business actors to provide a deeper understanding of the halal certification process and its benefits for entrepreneurs and consumers to increase the competitiveness of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises products in the global market.

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Wosi AMD welcomed the visit of the Halal Product Guarantee Service Task Force and appreciated the Government’s efforts in providing a broader understanding of the implementation of Mandatory Halal and direct registration of halal certificates on the spot.

Halal certification is not only an obligation, but also an opportunity for us Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises to expand our market, increase consumer confidence, and increase the competitiveness of our products in the market,” said Iswanti, a Mujito Beverage entrepreneur.

The visit of the Halal Product Guarantee Service Task Force is also a momentum to strengthen the synergy between the government and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in implementing Mandatory Halal policies and business actors are expected to take advantage of various services and guidance provided by the Halal Product Guarantee Service Task Force to obtain halal certification for free, easy and affordable.

Socialization and assistance efforts continue to be carried out to ensure that by October 2024, all Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises products circulating in the market have met the halal standards set and so that consumers can have more confidence and confidence in the products they consume.
