Kais District Community appreciates PUPR Sorsel for building a connecting bridge

PAPUA – The people of Kais District, South Sorong Regency, Southwest Papua, appreciated the Public Works and Public Housing Office for building a bridge connecting several villages with the district capital, and building boat moorings in the area.

Kais District community leader Sira in Teminabuan, Thursday, said the community was very grateful to the regent and the South Sumatra PUPR Office for building a connecting bridge in Tapuri Village, precisely at Kali Urat.

“Finally the community is no longer difficult to go to neighboring villages, we thank the Regent and Kadis PUPR South Sorong,” said Sira, a community leader in Kais District.

He explained, from the two jobs the wages of 200 workers had also been paid, so there were no more problems.

“The bridge in Kali Urat has been completed by 200 community members, as well as the construction of boat moorings that have been completed and used by the community,” said Sira.

Sira explained that the bridge is located in Tapuri Village, precisely Kali Urat, Kais District, South Sorong.

Meanwhile, Head of the South Sulawesi PUPR Office Alfius Way in Teminabuan said the budget used for the construction of the bridge and boat mooring was Rp 450 million.

“The bridge and boat mooring are already functioning and now the community is enjoying the construction,” Alfius said. The bridge is about 50 meters long, while the boat mooring is 10 meters long.

“All workers’ wages have been paid. We also give appreciation to the people who have voiced the development that has been carried out by the government,” said Alfius.
