The construction of flats in the New Autonomous Region, namely the Province of South West Papua, is one of the main programs of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing in order to implement equitable development throughout the Republic of Indonesia. The flats that are built will be provided as facilities for State Civil Apparatus and also the Indonesian Navy who are given the task of devoting themselves to this new province. Therefore, in order to provide a sense of comfort to those who have the status of immigrants and maximize their work, the central government also provides flat facilities. The local government feels helped by the seriousness of the central government in carrying out development in the Province of South West Papua.
There are three locations where flats are built for State Civil Apparatus and the Indonesian Navy. The first location is intended for State Civil Apparatus, namely flats built on Sorong Klamono Street KM 16, Klaurung District, Sorong City, which is adjacent to the Office Area of the Regional Government of South West Papua Province. The second location is also intended for State Civil Apparatus located on Sungai Komundan Street, Klawuyuk Village, East Sorong District, Sorong City. For the Indonesian Navy, flats were built on Sorong Klamono Street KM 16, Klaurung District, Sorong City, close to the Indonesian Navy Pasmar 3 Area.
Each flat built is planned to be in the form of Wisma Arunika in the form of a tower with a capacity of more than 100 houses divided into three floors. The development will continue to run along with the increasing number of State Civil Apparatus and the Indonesian Navy assigned to the Province of South West Papua. The existence of these facilities is also one of the future development investments that will be able to invite the community to want to serve in the New Autonomous Region.
The flats built will be equipped with complete furniture and a guarantee of good roads, clean water availability throughout the year, and also modern waste management. So that the flats can be used for years to come. The hope of the community is that the flats will be completed soon. The plan to build the flats will be completed in mid-2025. When the flats are completed, the State Civil Apparatus and Indonesian Navy National Army on duty will feel comfortable and at home to serve in the Province of South West Papua during their service period until they are finished or transferred later. The community will also be helped if the services provided by the public servants are optimal. The community can also feel safe and comfortable when all their public services are fulfilled by the state servants on duty.
