ACCORDING TO PRESIDENT JOKO WIDODO’S DIRECTIONS “4G BTS PROJECT IN PAPUA WILL APPEAR IN MID 2024”

Jakarta – The Telecommunications and Information Accessibility Agency (BAKTI) of the Ministry of Communication and Information (KOMINFO) will focus on completing the remaining 4G Base Transceiver Station (BTS) construction project in 2024.

President Joko Widodo has ordered that the telecoms infrastructure project be finished by this year’s first semester. However, because they were in the region of force majeure, 630 BTS remained unfinished when Jokowi took office at the end of 2023.

Kominfo Headquarters in Jakarta on August 3, 2024. Fadhilah Mathar as BAKTI KOMINFO confirmed “There are 630 people in Papua who are still in the process of living, the majority of whom have health issues. We still have to make a decision. The committee to resolve the issue such that item 630 is essentially completed has been established.”

118 locations have already been built, according to data from the BTS 4G satellite project, as reported by Fadhilah in March 2024.

We also coordinated with the others, moving certain locations that could not be built and moving the entire region to a more reasonably safe location. According to technical parameters, it is similar to the “signal about the project must be maintained.”

After that word Fadhilah said:  “It is also my responsibility to uphold Tim’s integrity. For example, if there is no safety from the local government, and they nonetheless confirm that there are a few ratus sites with safety keepers, we cannot guarantee that the aforementioned jaminan will be available for the aforementioned development as soon as possible. Since we are able to close, the gap may need to be filled.”

This is related to the BTS 4G construction schedule, which is set to begin in the first semester of 2024 in accordance with President Joko Widodo’s directive.

“If this spot is true, we will evaluate it based on the assumption. If there isn’t much good development coming from the safety side. We will be very cautious and, most importantly, we won’t be able to build on your small area. However, we will give them some advice on how to create a new website.”
