JAYAPURA, PAPUA – The working visit of the Acting Governor of Papua Ramses Limbong accompanied by the Chairperson of the Papua Family Empowerment and Welfare Team Mrs. Kardina Ramses Limbong in Jayapura Regency, Kemtuk Gresi District, Friday (13/9/2024).
The focus of the Working Visit carried out by the Acting Governor of Papua Province Ramses Limbong is a form of strengthening communication and coordination by strengthening the role of the Governor as the Central Government Representative in the implementation of Government and development and directly seeing the implementation of government and development, especially national and regional priority strategic programs.
In his remarks, Acting Governor Ramses Limbong said there were 7 important points that became the focus of the implementation of Government and development, especially national and regional priority strategic programs, including:
- Focus on good governance, namely, building institutional capacity to be able to carry out government tasks effectively. Developing innovation in public services both through the use of technology and a needs-based approach to local communities. Strengthening regional fiscals through accelerating the increase of local revenue.
- Local economic development includes encouraging economic development based on local potential such as agribusiness, fisheries and natural tourism in Jayapura Regency which has tremendous tourism potential.
- Improved public services include encouraging increased accessibility and quality of health services and education programs for stunting and polio immunization.
- Inflation control and poverty reduction include maintaining the availability of basic goods and price stability in the market. The Jayapura District Government must optimize poverty alleviation programs, especially extreme poverty.
- Handling stunting and polio includes ensuring that child nutrition and health programs run optimally, collaborating with related parties to accelerate the reduction of stunting rates, ensuring that all children receive complete polio immunization.
- Preparing for a successful election invites all parties to maintain neutrality and security during the election process, increase public participation in elections by providing good political education.
- Strengthening local wisdom and development based on culture and local wisdom is our identity that must be maintained by ensuring that development does not ignore the rights of indigenous peoples.
Acting Ramses Limbong invites us to continue working together to create a developed Jayapura Regency, “The Papua provincial government will certainly always support every effort and development program in Jayapura Regency.
